FALKIRK |
This swan on the Forth and Clyde canal was coaxed to the shore by Ranald McIntyre so that Pat could get a photograph. |
I have heard that the swan's extended neck can be interpreted as a "friendly greeting" (unless it is fully extended and the swan is running towards you). CHUCKLE |

Unlike the Millennium Wheel in London (of the Ferris Wheel variety), which has been dismantled, the Millennium Wheel of Falkirk is still under construction in 2001 as a novel lift-lock connecting the Clyde to the Forth Canal. |
Ranald McIntyre of Falkirk noted that a great deal of work on the canal remained to be accomplished. |
Fiercely proud of Falkirk, Ranald believes that the city should be doing more to promote this unique rotating lift system as a tourist attraction. He and Doug Ross survey the construction scene. |

Here is a front view of the Millennium Wheel. |
