BOTANICAL GARDENS |
On Saturday, July 20, we visited the greenhouses, tea rooms, rock gardens, demonstration plots and ponds of the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens. Here Doug stands in front of the rockery. |
Now it is Pat's turn to stand beside the lily pond. |
The tropical greenhouse was spectacular. |
In a steamy, humid atmosphere, we enjoyed the tropical trees and orchids on display in this area. |
A cluster of colourful asters caught Pat's eye, and they were photographed. [The sun did not always co-operate this well.] |
Doug stood in front of an ivy-covered wall at this perennial border for this photograph. |
Pat saw these bright yellow flowers as we were approaching the tea house. |
