BANFF NATIONAL PARKBanff and Lake Louise
It was fortunate that we had at least one good camera for taking pictures of animals on our trip. All of them are wild. Some won't allow you to get too close, and with others you had best not get too near.
We did some sight-seeing at Banff and Lake Louise on July 20 as we headed towards the Kicking Horse Pass but, during the next week, we visited the hot springs and took a chairlift at Banff. We also drove to Chateau Lake Louise to take in the scenery. [Viewers may click on the map of Alberta to follow our visits to Banff National Park on the eastern side of the Great Divide.]
Moraine Lake is located in the Valley of the Ten Peaks 12 km from Lake Louise. Visitors would be wise to check with the park rangers for reports of grizzly bears before taking any of the hiking trails. The same applies for Lake Louise.
