We were delighted at the turnout of members of the YOUNG branch on August 6, 2001. James and Gwyneth Murdoch attended with their younger daughter Kyra Brynne Murdoch from Toronto for the first time. Suzanne and Harry Whyte, who were present for their third reunion, joined in for the group photo.
During the reunion, many members participate at the display of photo archives, family genealogy and a collection of booklets. There is also time to provide updates for the records.
In spite of the heat, approximately 100 persons attended the 71st Annual Ross Reunion, and
four of the five surviving branches were represented once again.
Spectators provide their own lawn chairs for watching the sports while they use the opportunity to visit with each other.
There were competitions for children of all ages ... and prizes for all.
As usual, the buffet table was filled with a variety of salads, meats, buns and desserts and, as usual, there was more than enough for the crowd. A brief business meeting followed.
